'Skipton Castle' Skipton by Peps Creative
Once home to the famous Clifford Lords, Skipton Castle is one of the best preserved and most complete medieval fortresses in England. It has stood for nearly 1,000 years and survived a 3 year siege by Oliver Cromwell. The fully roofed castle is open to visitors all year round, and holds regular reenactment events.
